1-1 Coaching with Jack Childs

Bespoke Support To Improve Your Game

Technical Details

The vast majority of junior players don’t have the technical foundations that will allow their game to translate to a high-level. These need to be solved as a junior because it is very difficult to change engrained habits after the age of 18. Get detailed technical input to help you master a range of skills including ball carrying skills, forehand hitting, reverse stick hitting, aerials, slapping, push passing, first touch, goalscoring, 1 vs 1 defending, PCA skills and more from one of the leading junior performance technical coaches in the country.

Holistic Support

The vast majority of junior players don’t have the wider holistic support to succeed at the highest level. As well as getting detailed individual support in the session Jack can also provide wider holistic support to help you develop your game, either from his own expertise or linking you with his extensive network in hockey. This includes mindset support, 1-1 session design planning (to do in your own time), S&C support, club/school links, tactical development and detailed individual development plans as needed. In addition after each session there is a 15 minutes feedback call.

Testimonials

“Jack’s 1-1 coaching has really helped improve my game, as it involves an amazing bespoke training programme tailored to your focus areas. This has particularly helped me improve my technical skills, with sessions broken down into small intense parts to look at the details behind specific technical skills identified by Jack to most help your game like my receiving and shooting. Another aspect that I have found incredibly helpful is how the drills all link to game specific scenarios, so all the technical skills are practiced in a game realistic environment and then translate to the game much better. Finally Jack brings high levels of energy to each session which brings the best out of you and is really motivating.”

Rita Box (England U16 & National League)

“I was coached 1-1 by Jack over a two year period from aged 10-12. I did not attend a hockey school or have access to high-level hockey clubs which was limiting my development and allowing me to be as good as I wanted to be. Jack gave me detailed technical instruction, which allowed me to get a great foundation to play at a higher level in the future. His sessions were well planned out, enjoyable and always had me wanting to come back for more. He believed in me which gave me confidence in myself, the skills to develop and have access into areas of hockey not previously available to me.”
