Ambassadors
Jason Laslett

Jason Laslett grew up in a large hockey-playing family at Canterbury HC, learning the ropes at mini hockey and then at Millfield School, winning the National Schools title. He played for the England U18s and U21s before joining Teddington HC, winning the domestic National League (now the Premier League) in 1995 and National Cup twice in 1994 and 1996. He was named Hockey Writers’ UK Player of the Year and National League Player of the Year in 1990-91.
Across his career Jason represented England and Great Britain 170 times (outdoor and indoor combined), competing at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and captaining the team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He has since coached junior teams at Teddington HC for 20 years.
He is delighted to be an Ambassador for Hockey Mentors. He has seen first-hand what a fantastic opportunity it gives young players to enjoy our amazing game and fulfil their potential. Jason feels he has been very fortunate in his hockey career and want others to enjoy the same experience.
